Who we are.
A Message from Darryl.
When I started Silver Linings Therapy, it wasn’t just about opening a private practice; it was about creating the kind of space I wish I had found earlier in my own healing. A space where people like me (and maybe like you) didn’t have to explain the impact of racism, poverty, masculinity, or survival. A space where mental health care wasn’t disconnected from the world we live in.
At Silver Linings, we honor both your lived experience and your potential. We know healing isn’t linear, and it doesn’t happen in a vacuum. That’s why we take a justice-informed, culturally grounded, and radically empathetic approach to care. Whether you're navigating trauma, identity shifts, addiction, or just trying to stay afloat in a world that doesn't always make sense. You're welcome here.
Right now, Silver Linings is just me. But this space was built with growth in mind. I look forward to welcoming more providers who share this vision: a vision of therapy as liberation, not correction.
Thanks for being here. I know reaching out isn’t easy, but it’s a brave first step.

Our Values
-
We believe healing starts with being seen. At Silver Linings, we listen to understand, not to fix, diagnose, or pathologize. Every client brings a complex and sacred story, and we meet that story with curiosity, care, and radical presence.
-
We don’t separate mental health from the systems that shape it. From race and gender to poverty and incarceration, we name the forces that impact our clients, because silence has never been a solution. We create space for truth and transformation.
-
You are the expert on your own experience. We honor each person’s self-defined goals, identities, and truths. Whether your healing looks like reclaiming voice, setting boundaries, or breaking generational patterns, we walk beside you, not ahead of you.
-
Isolation harms; connection heals. We believe that therapy is not just a space to process, but a place to rebuild trust in yourself and in others. Humor, honesty, and humanity are always welcome here. We're not here to perform healing, we're here to practice it.
